5 Tips For Creating A Dynamic Booth At A Trade Show

When setting up your booth, you want to make sure that your display not only stands out, but also invites customers to stop by and look at your business services.

 

If you're planning to be at a tradeshow, here are some tips to help you set up a dynamic booth.

 

1. Have A Visually Attractive Booth

 

People are very visual and will see your booth before they see your business. Before going to the trade show, it is important to spend time developing a brightly colored, attractive display with well designed, clearly displayed signs and good lighting. To gain the attention of people as they walk by, your booth must look professional. The signs and displays must be professionally made and clearly display your business name and logo.

 

2. Make It Inviting

 

Once you have gained the attention of people as they walk by, you want them to stop and look at what services or products you are offering. People are all different. Some people like to read information on a business so you will want have pamphlets and brochures available for them to take. Others like to watch videos to see what the products do. Having a monitor set up to show short videos of your inflatables at different events is a great way to showcase your products at real functions.

 

Other people prefer the more hands on approach. If possible, have one of your inflatable units or bounce houses set up at your booth so that people can see and touch it. If that is not possible, talk to your manufacturer to see if you can get a smaller version of one of your inflatable structures made specifically for the tradeshow.

 

3. Look Like A Professional

 

As a booth attendant, you are representing your business and services, therefore you must look professional. Wearing clean pants and a shirt with your business name and logo on it will tell people that you are a trustworthy and serious business person. No one wants to hire someone who doesn't look like a professional representative.

 

If you have staff, make sure that they are wearing a company shirts and clean pants when representing your business at the trade show as well. Having a dress code and uniform description will ensure that everyone knows what they are expected to wear and look the role of professional staff.

 

4. Smile And Be Approachable

 

When you are working at the booth, you want to look approachable so that people will stop by to talk to you. You should always be smiling and making eye contact with the crowd. People will not stop by if the booth attendant is not paying attention to what's going on around them or look unapproachable through their body language or facial expressions. Everything you do and say at the trade show is representing your business. You want people to see a professional, friendly and attentive representative when they come to your booth.

5. Give Out Promotional Products

 

People like walking away from display booths with goodie bags of promotional products. Small bounce house shaped stress balls with your business name and logo make excellent promotional products. Other keepsakes include pamphlets, coupons, pens, notepads, magnets, calendars, agenda books and other token gifts that customers can use. Every item, including the gift bags, should have your company logo and name on so that your business name will be seen by customers regularly after the trade show is over. Have premade bags ready to go so that when customers stop by, you can hand them a gift bag filled with promotional products as they are leaving.

 

Trade shows are a great way to market your business. If your going to participate in a trade show, spend time before the show preparing your booth, yourself and product samples so that you are putting your best professional foot forward when you are at the show.
