Thor Post Drivers: Hammering Tent Stakes, Asgard Style!

Pound Tent Stakes like a Comic Book Hero Pounds Villains

You’ve just shown up at your latest party rental gig. You’ve got a big 20x40 pole tent in the back of your truck that needs to go up, and you've already planned out where the tent stakes are going during your last visit. And you’ve barely said hello to your customer when they throw you a curve ball.

Thor Tent Stake Driver & Post HammerThe big grassy field where they wanted you to set up? That’s out. They just found out the stage they originally planned to set up in the parking lot would be exposed to too much direct sunlight. Instead, they want their party tent rental moved over to the nearby parking lot. They cleared it with the property owner, and you’re all set to drive tent stakes into the asphalt, so long as you use asphalt plugs afterward. Now they’re asking you if your company is prepared for that.

You’ve got manpower, and you’ve got sledge hammers. It can be done. Maybe not as efficiently as the guys in this viral video, but your company can do it. So now we’re presented with another question: do you want to manually drive tent stakes for a 20x40 pole tent into asphalt?

Driving tent stakes into asphalt by hand is grueling, arduous work. It helps to have three or four guys working together, and even then it can be exhausting. But here’s the good news: it doesn’t need to be tiring at all. In fact, one person can drive all of the tent stakes themselves pretty easily using one of our new Thor Post Drivers!

Introducing Thor Post Drivers

The Thor Post Driver is a heavy duty machine capable of pounding steel tent stakes into the Earth in just a few seconds. Whether the terrain is soft ground or cold hard asphalt, Thor drives posts and stakes effortlessly thanks to a lightweight two cycle (gas and oil mixture fueled) or four stroke (gasoline fueled) engine.

Using a Thor Post Driver is as simple as starting up the motor, setting it on top of the steel head of the tent stake or fence post, and holding it upright while the Thor pounds it into the ground.

This isn’t a jackhammer, either. Thor Post Drivers feature air cushion dampening that eliminates nearly all recoil, allowing you to drive tent stakes, T-posts, and fence posts as accurately as you do easily. If there’s an easier way of getting forged steel rammed into the ground, we haven’t seen it yet.

Sledge Hammers Had a Nice Run, Didn’t They?

Thor's Hammer might drive tent stakes faster, but it's not exactly usable.Sledge hammers are as synonymous with the party rental industry as the tent stakes they drive into the dirt. Surely, our industry never would’ve made it this far without them. And you can’t entirely do away with them just yet, either. You definitely need to have a few on hand at all times.

As venerable as sledge hammers are, however, our Thor Post Drivers are proving that technology can put a shelf life on even the most quintessential tools. These post and stake drivers are affordable, portable, practical, and effective. And while they may not do away with sledge hammers entirely just yet, we do have a great alternative that takes a lot of grunting out of our day to day grunt work.

We know what some of you are probably thinking. You’re not allergic to hard work, and a sledge hammer costs only a fraction of what these mechanical fence post drivers do. But that sledge hammer isn’t going to save you any time. Time that could be better spent on other tasks and other projects. They won’t save your muscles from wear or tear, either.

Thor Post Drivers won’t turn you into a godlike comic book superhero. They won’t magically fly through the air and land in your hands when you call for them, either. We’ll probably never have that sort of technology. But you don’t need to be from a distant planet or get bitten by radioactive insects to drive your tent stakes as fast as a superhero. And you don’t need to wear a skintight leotard, either. All you need is a Thor Post Driver to make your tent stakes think twice about trying to make an escape.
